| Atkins Diet 1.0 Atkins Diet program is a low-carb, high protein eating plan in which refined carbohydrates are not permitted. There are three basic phases: Induction, Ongoing Weight Loss and Maintenance. The aim of thie initial 14-day induction phase of the diet is to induce a state of ketosis, in which the body begins to burn fat for fuel (instead of carbs) and weight loss is rapid - typically between 2-8 pounds in the first week. | Cabbage Soup Diet 1.0 Put all vegetables in a big pot and cover with pure water. Bring to a boil, stir in the soup mix, and boil gently for 10 minutes. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Stir in the black pepper and chopped herbs (saving some for garnish). Eat as much of the soup as you like, as often as you like. This 7-day diet works - in the short term, anyway. Ingredient proportions can be varied according to your likes and dislikes. See also: Cabbage, Soup, Diet |
| Fat Flush Diet 1.0 The Fat Flush Diet is both a detox diet and a weight loss diet. It provides all the necessary ingredients to boost metabolism, reduce water retention, and promote fat loss. The Diet has 3 phases: Phase 1 = 2 weeks: This is a restrictive phase of between 1100-1200 calories per day.
The intention here is to "lose bloat", which refers to reducing water retention as well as some fat loss. See also: Fat Flush Diet, weight loss diet |
| Glycemic Impact Diet 1.0 The Glycemic Impact Diet is one of more popular diets to appear worldwide. The diet is based on the Glycemic Index - which has been around for some time. However, only recently have GI based diets become popular with the public. The Glycemic Impact Diet delves even further into the glycemic index by taking into account Glycemic Load. This is a combination of the glycemic index of a food and the amount of carbohydrate the food has. See also: Glycemic, Impact, Diet |
| Lemonade Diet 1.0 The Lemonade Diet is more of a juice fast or a body cleanse or detox since you're living on lemonade for the entire time. You're not eating food of any kind - not even soup. The diet was created to help rid your body of toxins that build up when you don't exercise or eat right. It's designed to help clear and clean your body's digestive tract, kidneys, and liver, while carrying out all the bad stuff that's settled in over time. See also: Lemonade, Diet |
